Marina Palamós:clarity, service and territory
At NTITY we developed the new visual identity and the complete signage and communication system for Marina Palamós, one of the most important marinas on the Costa Brava. The challenge was to update the port’s image to reflect its service-oriented spirit, its openness to visitors, and its close relationship with the maritime environment and Mediterranean culture.
The result is a contemporary, clear, and functional identity designed to enhance the experience of both users and visitors, and to reinforce Marina Palamós’ perception as a modern, accessible, and vibrant marina.
A brand inspired by the sea and its geography
The symbol is constructed from two simple shapes that evoke the profile of a pier and the sea line, represented through geometric blocks in navy blue and sea green. The typography—clean, open, and approachable—reinforces the public vocation of the marina, while the inclusion of geographic coordinates provides an identity nod to the territory and its nautical character.
The brand is conceived as a visual synthesis of the place: order, calm, and sea.
An accessible, multilingual, and coherent signage system
Given that Marina Palamós receives a high volume of national and international visitors, a trilingual signage system (Catalan, Spanish, and English) was developed to ensure quick understanding and comfortable reading. The system is based on:
A custom-made iconography representing all activities, services, and points of interest within the port.
A hierarchical use of color that facilitates orientation.
A graphic architecture that allows the identification of areas, docks, access points, and services through clear, repeatable codes.
The result is an orderly visual environment that improves physical navigation throughout the space and brings professionalism and coherence to the entire experience both for users and visitors.
Visual communication for a vibrant and open port
In addition to the identity and signage, we designed a flexible communication system for editorial and promotional applications: posters, brochures, textile pieces, and informational materials.
These pieces combine fresh, natural photography (the sea, nautical activities, leisure…) with the brand’s diagonal angles and color palette, creating a distinctive visual language that conveys dynamism and quality of service. At NTITY, we approached this project as the construction of a complete visual ecosystem—one that allows Marina Palamós to express itself with clarity, order, and personality.
An identity that guides users and visitors from the moment they arrive, enhances their experience, and connects the port to what it has always been: a meeting point between people, the sea, and the territory.
