Alhambra Reserva Roja: naming and bottle design
At NTITY, we took on the challenge of shaping the identity of Alhambra Reserva Roja, the dark-brown beer from Cervezas Alhambra. This was a strategic launch within the portfolio, with the goal of expanding the range and offering a more intense and complex flavor, while remaining faithful to the brand’s philosophy: enjoyment without rushing. To achieve this, we worked from two complementary angles: finding a clear and evocative name that would encapsulate its essence and designing an iconic bottle that would communicate its character through the senses.
Naming: simplicity as a Value
The first step was to find a clear, direct, and memorable name for the new Cervezas Alhambra brand. “Reserva Roja” simply sums up what this beer is all about: a special product, highly intense, toasted, and with a distinctive color nuance that sets it apart from the range. And Alhambra means” the Red”.
A bottle without labels, only engravings
Inspired by the brand’s icon, the Reserva 1925, we designed a bottle that dispenses with labels and makes the sensitive its main language. Each line and texture engraved in the glass evokes the brand’s artisan heritage, attention to detail, and the mystery that characterizes it.
Inspired by an icon
Starting from the iconic green silhouette of Reserva 1925, we reinterpreted its codes to create a package that projects greater strength and uniqueness, in tune with the intense, toasted profile of Reserva Roja. The result is a bottle that needs no ornamentation to tell its story: the design speaks for itself. For Cervezas Alhambra, this project is an exercise in coherence and character: a simple and evocative name combined with a bottle that conveys authenticity and sophistication, without labels, only relief.
